International Driving Permit (IDP): If your country issues an IDP under the 1949 Geneva Convention (for example: USA, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.), you must:
Obtain the IDP before leaving your home country from an official issuing authority
Bring the original physical IDP (PDFs, copies, or online IDPs are not accepted in Japan)
Bring your original driver’s license and passport on the tour day
