Are you ready to turn your hobbies into a business?
After being picked up from your hotel, you will head to an authentic reindeer farm outside Rovaniemi. You will meet the herders and their animals, learn about their lifestyles and about reindeer husbandry. Because this is the first visit of the day, you will also get the chance observe the reindeers beeing fed with their favourite food.
You will practice your driving skills with a self-driven short sleigh ride of 400 m (around 2-3 min). Reindeer sleigh rides were traditionally a way of transportation for loads and passengers in Lapland. Nowadays, certain skillful herders continue training the best elements of their herds to perpetuate this tradition.
