From pickup 1 hour drive through residential and rural to Muriwai Gannet Colony. The viewing point is raised giving excellent views of Offshore and coastal colonies as well as the beach. (There are many Gannets)Then across rural area to Scenic Drive to Pukematekeo Lookout. Here there is Tasman Sea to west and Pacific/Auckland/harbour panorama to east. Then to Piha for the world famous view and onto the beach where we visit the black sands. Piha is also a world surfing site.
