NZ's oldest and premier coastal marine reserve, can be very busy, but for snorkeling enthusiasts, we can spend some time here. Option to book a glass bottom boat or separate guided snorkeling or scuba dive (booked separately)

At the end on the 50km long black sand Muriwai beach (we can drive along it if you want something different) the Muriwai Gannet colony is the largest such mainland colony in the southern hemisphere. Does change depending on the breeding cycle, but always birds around
