Aswan High Dam

Start by visiting the High Dam; an epic engineering accomplishment achieved between 1960 and 1970, with the aim to regulate the Nile River flooding, to store the water for agriculture and to generate hydro electric power It was largely financed and supervised by the Soviet Union.

Proceed to visit the magnificent Greco Roman Temple of the goddess Isis; the chief deity of the island using a small motorboat to get there.

Unfinished Obelisk
Then, to the unfinished Obelisk, about 40 meters in length and 1000 tons, which is considered to be the longest and the heaviest obelisk ever cut in Egypt, most probably belongs to the famous queen Hatshepsut.
