On this 4x4 tour with an expert guide we head off from your pick up location in North Iceland, usually Akureyri or Lake Myvatn and travel though stunning landscapes passing glacial rivers, moutains and lava fields deep into the highlands to visit the amazing Askja volcanic area. Lake Askja
Nous visitons les hautes terres d'Islande et le paysage est presque lunaire. Explosion crater Hrossaborgir is 500 metres in diameter where we will have time to walk and take pictures. Even walk up to the ring to see the landscape around the crater and one of the Filming spot of Oblivion with Tom cruise

Stop at the Herðubreið mountain, queen of moutains in Iceland. Walk into a lava field and rest stop. Story about outlaw Fjalla Eyvinur

Gljúfrasmiður (=Canyon Builder) (on Jökulsá á Fjöllum)
Stop at glacial river and Waterfall and take in the destructive power of nature. Water carved the landscape and left the canyon waterfall behind.

Rest stop and food stop, offer people to walk into the dragon ravine and see a waterfall nestled in the end of it.

Lava field and start of the walk to Askja

Stop to view and go swimming if conditions allow, people are given time to explore and walk down to Lake Askja.
