Itinerary
Starting at Poststrasse 12 in the village centre, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and begin your round through the painted lanes. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city.
On the Landsgemeindeplatz, the riddles turn to living history: every April, thousands of Appenzellers still gather here to vote by raised hand — one of the last places on earth where democracy works this way.
At the Löwendrogerie, you'll decode one of Switzerland's most famous facades, painted top to bottom with medicinal plants and local motifs.
