Altun Ha is the nearest excavated Maya Temple to Belize City and is probably the most visited by belizean school children from all over the country. This beautiful Maya Temple whose name means “Rockstone Water” has wide-open spaces.

Franks Eddy
At Nohoch Che’en Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve near Frank’s Eddy, reached from the George Price Highway west of Belize City, receive your helmet, headlamp, life vest, and tube. Walk with your guide through the forest to the river, then float through the limestone cave system while learning about its geology and Maya cultural importance.
