After about 3 hours on the road from Alexandria, you arrive at the Giza Plateau. Your guide walks you to the base of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, explains its construction and history, and gives you time at the panoramic view point for clear photos of all three Pyramids. Then on to the Sphinx, where your guide explains its history and the latest theories about its true age.

You continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum ever built. Your guide walks you through the soaring atrium past the towering statue of Ramses II, up the Grand Staircase, and into the Tutankhamun galleries where his complete collection is displayed together for the very first time in history. You see the gold mask, the chariots, the throne, and the canopic shrines, all with stories told by someone who actually studied them.
