Your adventure begins with a departure from the beautiful coastal village of Hopkins. Sit back and enjoy a scenic drive along the iconic Hummingbird Highway, known for its lush rainforest, rolling hills, citrus groves, and breathtaking views.
You will then connect to the Western Highway, passing through local communities including Teakettle Village as you head toward the cave site.

Actun Tunichil Muknal
Prepare for one of Belize’s most unforgettable adventures. This guided tour includes:
A 45-minute jungle hike through dense rainforest
Three river crossings (water levels range from ankle to chest deep)
A short swim into the cave entrance
Exploration of underground chambers filled with ancient Maya ceremonial artifacts
Viewing preserved skeletal remains, including the famous “Crystal Maiden”
Important Notes:
Cameras and phones are not allowed inside the cave (to protect fragile artifacts)
Wear closed-toe shoes with good grip and socks
A moderate level of fitness is required (includes swimming, climbing, and scrambling)
