This zone is home to exotic birdlife and the elusive black-and-white Colobus monkeys. As we ascend, the air is fresh and humid. Our expert guides move at a "Pole Pole" (slowly) pace to ensure your body begins its journey toward acclimatization. By late afternoon, we reach Machame Camp at the forest's edge. Here, you will find your tents already pitched by our hardworking crew. Enjoy your first mountain dinner under the stars as the forest sounds lull you to sleep.
