Day 1: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins at Machame Gate, where you’ll complete your registration and meet the team of guides and porters supporting your journey. The first day’s hike takes you through the lush rainforest, famous for its vibrant flora and towering trees. Covering about 11 kilometers, the trail ascends steadily as you immerse yourself in the beauty of the forest. By evening, you’ll reach Machame Camp, located at around 3,000 meters, where you’ll rest for the night.
