Day 01: begins with a morning flight from Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar. Upon arrival, meet with the driver and transfer you to your hotel for a smooth check-in. Before we set off, take a moment to relax and savor a traditional cup of world-renowned Ethiopian coffee.

Bahir Dar
By mid-morning, we drive to the breathtaking Blue Nile Falls, known locally as Tis Abay. After a short scenic walk across the historic Fasileds bridge a Portuguese-style architecture Bridge, you will be rewarded with stunning views of the falls and the lush, vibrant landscape. After a thorough exploration of the area, we return to Bahir Dar for lunch.

Bahir Dar Market
In the afternoon, we take a boat trip on Lake Tana, Ethiopia’s largest lake. We will navigate the blue waters to explore the ancient, hidden monasteries of the Zegi Peninsula. You’ll have the opportunity to step inside the beautifully painted walls of Ura Kidane Mihret and Azwa Maryam, where centuries of history and art are preserved.
As the sun begins to lower, we continue our boat trip to spot hippopotamuses and a variety of exotic aquatic birds.
Market Vibes
Back to city, we’ll dive into the culture of the city with a visit to the vibrant local market—a perfect place to witness the daily rhythm of Bahir Dar. To conclude this unforgettable day, we’ll take a peaceful stroll along the lakeside to watch the sunset cast its golden reflections across the water.
Dinner: Enjoy a relaxing meal at your hotel or a hand-picked local restaurant.
