Chullpas de Ninamarca
hullpa or chullpar is an ancient funerary tower of Aymara and Quechua origin, with an angular or round base, originally built for people of high status in Aymara and Inca culture.1
The Collao Chullparian tradition dates from the 13th and 14th centuries, after the fall of Tiahuanaco and its use as a mausoleum of authorities quickly becomes traditional in areas adjoining the highlands until the beginning of the 16th century (colonial-early).
