Bonwire
After about a 6-hour drive from Accra—with lunch and toilet stops along the way, we will begin our first experience of Ashanti culture by exploring the art of hand-woven Kente cloth. You'll learn about the rich history of Kente weaving, including the meanings behind the various colors and patterns, and the traditional ceremonies or occasions for which each design is suited.
After the demonstration, you'll have the opportunity to try your hand at weaving and shop for souvenirs at the showroom. Prices are fair and negotiable, so feel free to bargain for the best deal.
