On this ascent, trekkers encounter with giant trees, rocky terrain and the charming Mackinders Valley before descending via the Chogoria route. Nanyuki Town
In the morning, you will be picked at the airport/ hotel then depart Nairobi accompanied by our mountain guide arriving at Nanyuki in time for lunch. For the rest of the afternoon, you will spend time in Nanyuki acclimatizing and walking along the Mount Kenya region visiting the Mau mau Caves, where freedom fighters used to hide during the 2nd world war. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at a hotel in Nanyuki.
