The most important religious center of the Inca Empire, dedicated to the worship of the Sun.
Sacsayhuamán:
A ceremonial fortress located 2 km from Cusco, known for its massive stone structures and as the main site of the Inti Raymi festival.
Qenqo:
An archaeological site whose name means “labyrinth” in Quechua, featuring a semicircular structure used for ceremonies.
Puca Pucara:
Known as the “Red Fortress,” a military and surveillance complex with terraces, stairways, and walls.
Tambomachay:
Also called the Baths of the Inca, famous for its water fountains and ceremonial use.
