By 10:30 AM, you'll be at Capuliyoc, where after admiring the views, you'll begin descending into the Apurimac Canyon at 11:00 AM. As you trek, the landscape changes from alpine to desert, with diverse birds and flora accompanying you.

By approximately 2:00 PM, you will reach Chiquisca (6,234 feet / 1,900 meters). A brief rest and a leisurely lunch await you here. Post-lunch, the trek resumes, leading you further into the depths of the canyon.

You’ll encounter Playa Rosalinas (4,921 feet / 1,500 meters) around 3:00 PM, a serene beach by the roaring Apurimac River. A short pause might allow you to refresh and splash some river water on your face.
