We have over 50 years combined experience working and living at the Great mesoamerican reef here in Mahahual Costa Maya. We offer expertise on environmental conditions, as well as flora and fauna in the area, and our tours are always provided in English and in Spanish.
Our tour includes semi-professional snorkeling equipment (all cleaned and sanitized before and after every use) including fins, certified life vests, and a certified guide who will also take underwater photos of your experience as a courtesy.
We offer snacks to enjoy right on the boat! We provide water, sodas, beer, fresh fruit and even a delicious guacamole.

Join La Leyenda ECO-TOURS for an unforgettable snorkeling experience while visiting Mahahual in the Costa Maya.
We begin the experience at our beach stand right next to Hotel 40 Cañones. We’ll enjoy a boat ride on one of our 25ft pangas to representative areas on the Great Mesoamerican reef, the second largest coral reef system in the world.
We will visit 2 different snorkeling spots, chosen to give you a wide view of the local flora and fauna, as well as for the best possibilities for encounters based on weather and water conditions.
