Embark on a Spiritual tour of the 5000 years old Ancient and Historical city of Ujjain.
After a warm welcome at the pickup point in Indore, proceed to Ujjain covering a distance of 55 KMs in 1.5 hrs approx.
This city has a Jyotirling out of 12 Jyotirlings, one city out of seven salvation providing cities, Gadhkalika and Harsiddhi, the two Shakti Peeths, and sacred Kumbh that takes place in four cities of India. The cave of king Bhartari is found here and it is believed that Ujjain has footprints of God Vishnu.
God Rama himself performed his father’s last rites after his death at Ujjain and therefore the place where the ritual took place called ‘RamGhat’.
On the beautiful bank of Kshipra and the plateau of Malwa, Ujjain is situated at the height of 491.74o above sea level, Ujjain has a fine moderate temperature and therefore the climate is found pleasant here generally.

Shree Harsiddhi Mata Shaktipeeth Temple
On reaching Ujjain check-in at the hotel and freshen up. Later you can visit the Harsiddhi Mata Mandir.
This Temple, one of the 51 Shaktipeethas of Goddess is located near Rudra Sagar Lake in Ujjain. This Temple stands 13th in the list of 51 Saktipeethas across world.
Idol of Harsiddhi Mata is painted in dark vermillion color and placed in centre with idols of Mahasaraswati and Mahalakshmi. The presence of Shree Yantra, symbol of Shakti and represents nine forms of Durga is one of the main features of the temple. Another attractive feature is two towering Deep Stambhas, one of main pattern of temple built during Maratha Period. During the Navratri, hundreds of Diyas are flamed which create a tremendous and divine scene
There is a small shrine of Goddess Mahamaya, located in temple premise which is closed for tourist and here a Diya which burns from many years. There is also an ancient well on the premises, next to which stands a smaller temple dedicated to Karkateshwar Mahadev.

After seeking blessings from the Harsiddhi Mata Shakti Peeth proceed to Bartrihari caves.
After seeking blessings from Harsiddhi Mata, visit the Bhartrihari caves. These caves, assigned to 11th century owe their name from Bhartrihari, a very learned man and the step brother of King Vikaramaditya. It is said that, Bhartrihari decided to renounce the worldly life and he came here in search of peace to continue his meditation. With time, these caves became his shelter.
Bhartrihari caves are glaring example of Indian rock-cut architecture. Located in the middle of beautiful, lush green forest and hilly area the caves are a bit narrower and totally dark. The stone carved statue of rishi Bhartrihari in the sitting posture is very impressive. Inside the caves you will get to see Mahadev’s trident and the holy ash.There are beautiful stone images carved on the walls of the caves. The interior of the cave is extremely cool, peaceful, and spiritual.

Mangalnath Temple
After witnessing the rock cut architectural marvel of the Bhartrihari caves visit the Mangalnath temple.
This temple is situated away from the bustle of the city and can be reached through a winding road. The temple looks upon a vast expanse of the Shipra waters and fills the onlooker with an indescribable sense of peace. Mangalnath is regarded as the birth place of Mars, according to the Matsya Purana.
The Mangalnath Temple offers a serene and spiritual ambiance for visitors. The temple architecture showcases intricate carvings and sculptures. The main deity of the temple is Lord Mars, and devotees come here to seek blessings and offer prayers. The temple is also known for its astronomical significance as it is believed to be the place where the prime meridian of the Hindu geographers was established. It is considered an auspicious spot for observing celestial events and conducting astrological calculations.

Kal Bhairav Temple
After offering prayers at the Mangalnath Temple, you can proceed to Kal Bhairav Temple.
Kal Bhairav Temple
Kal Bhairav Temple said to have been built by King Bhadrasen on the banks of Shipra River. This ancient temple is dedicated to Kal Bhairav, the chief among the eight Bhairavs. The striking feature of the Kal Bhairav Temple is its exquisite paintings in Malwa style, only traces of which are noticeable.
The Kal Bhairav Temple is dedicated to Kal Bhairav, a fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva, and he is regarded as the guardian deity of the city. Though Ujjain houses a huge number of temples within its geographical area, Kal Bhairav is the most prominent one and records a footfall of thousands of devotees every day. The worship of Ashta Bhairava is a part of the Saivite tradition, and the Kal Bhairav is considered their chief.
The unique feature of this temple is liquor is offered to the main deity as 'chadhava'.

Ram Ghat
After visiting the Kal Bhairav Temple, you can proceed to Ram Ghat.
The Land of the Gods, Ujjain has been the source of mythological stories and many unforgettable tales. Even though, the ancient city has many places of interests and attractions still Ram Ghat has its own charm that you will hardly get anywhere else in Ujjain.
Shri Ram Ghat is a river bank on the banks of the Shipra River, where you can take a holy dip, perform rituals, and worship Lord Ram. It is a very special place because Lord Ram himself stayed here with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman during their exile. He also performed a yagna (fire sacrifice) here

Chintaman Ganesh Temple
After enjoying a splash at the Ram Ghat, you can visit the Chintaman Ganesh Temple.
This temple of Lord Ganesha is located at a distance of 6 kilometers from Mahakaleshwar Temple. This ancient temple is famous by the name of Chintaman Ganesh. There are three idols installed in the sanctum sanctorum of this famous temple of Ganesha. The biggest feature of the Chintaman Ganesh temple is that here Shri Ganesh is sitting together in three forms. These three forms are known as Chintman Ganesha, Ichhaman Ganesha and Siddhivinayak. It is said that out of these, Chintaman Ganesh removes worries, Ichhaman fulfills desires and Siddhivinayak gives Riddhi-Siddhi. It is also believed that such a wonderful and supernatural idol of Ganesha is probably nowhere else in the country. According to beliefs, this temple was established by Lord Shriram himself.
The finely-carved stone pillars in the assembly hall and the white shrine define the age-old sanctity of the temple.

Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple
After offering prayers at the Chintaman Ganesh Temple proceed to the Mahakaleshwar Temple.
This temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is architected in Chalukya & Maratha styles and houses a Shiva Linga which is believed to be Swayambhu (self-manifested).
Marble pathways lead way to the chamber where the deity resides. The temple has three floors dedicated to Mahakalesvara, Omkaresvara and Nagachandresvara, respectively. A small pond (Koti Tirtha Kund) is also present.
This temple serves both a historical significance as well as a spiritual purpose being one of twelve Jyotirlingas designated by Hindu tradition.
The temple is famous for its unique rituals and ceremonies. The Bhasma Aarti, performed every morning, is a significant highlight where the lingam is adorned with sacred ashes (bhasma) and a grand aarti (devotional lamp) is offered.

Mahakal Lok
In the evening as the sun sets, Mahakal Lok emerges as a spectacle with bright lights illuminating every detail of the corridor. You can visit the Mahakal Lok corridor in the evening.
One of the major highlights of the corridor is, the mega corridor has a length of around 920 metres and around 200 statues and it is spread along the Rudra Sagar Lake. There are total eight forms of Lord Shiva for Darshan at the corridor. The corridor also showcases murals of the stories, which are mentioned in the Shiva Purana. There are total 108 pillars and two grand entrance gates – Nandi Gate and Pinaki Gate. The corridor leads to the entrance of the famous Mahakaleshwar Temple and it also offers a mesmerising panoramic view along the way. Ujjain Mahakal Lok Corridor houses the Swayambhu form of Lord Shiva. Mahakaleshwar Temple is one of the 12 sacred jyotirlingas in the world.

Sandipani Ashram
Located on the banks of the Kshipra River, Sandipani Ashram is a prominent attraction in Ujjain. This revered site commemorates Maharishi Sandipani, where it is believed he taught Shri Krishna, his friend Sudama, and Krishna’s brother Balram. The ashram now resembles a temple, featuring idols of Krishna, Balram, Sudama, and Guru Sandipani. Notably, there is a stone with numerals 1 to 100, thought to have been engraved by Guru Sandipani himself.
The ashram is home to several shrines, with the main one dedicated to Guru Sandipani. The Sarveshwar Mahadev Temple here houses a 6000-year-old Shivlinga with Shesnaag in its natural form, worshipped by Guru Sandipani and his disciples. The ashram also boasts a large stepped tank, the Gomati Kund, mentioned in the Puranas as the historical water source for the ashram. Nearby, an image of Nandi, dating back to the Shunga period, adds to the site’s historical significance.
