Day 1: Nairobi – Masai mara , 5 to 6 hours, Distance: 250km

Maasai Mara National Reserve
Your driver will pick up from your Nairobi hotel at 0730hrs for the drive to Mara. Drive North West and up into the kikuyu highlands, dropping along the eastern escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. Make a stop at the view-point on the escarpment for a short bathroom break. The tour guide will also explain to you about the formation of the Great Rift Valley below.
We will continue towards Narok town. Arrive at Narok and have an optional break here. Drive on to Masai mara and arrive in time for lunch at 1300hrs and check in the hotel.
After lunch, you can have a siesta to wind down form the long drive. Your first game drive will start at 1600hrs when the sun is less intense. Drive around in the savannah to see the lions, cheetahs, buffalo, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, leopards, rhinos, topi, elands, hyenas, zebras and many more.
Return to lodge at dusk for dinner and overnight.
