It’s smooth grass carpeted hills and plains dotted with flat topped acacia trees are full of rich faunal diversity, fulfilling the expectations of any visitor searching the African landscape for the BIG 5. Located west of the Great Rift Valley, Mara is a natural extension of the Serengeti plains in the neighboring Tanzania. The Mara River, the reserve’s backbone traverses north to south. NAIROBI - MASAI MARA

Masai Mara National Reserve
Early morning pick-up from your hotel/residence in Nairobi and depart by road to Maasai Mara National Reserve (approx. 5-6 hours with scenic stops along the way).
Arrive at Camp in time for check-in and lunch.
After some relaxation, head out for your first afternoon game drive in the reserve. This is a perfect introduction to the Mara’s vast plains and abundant wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and many more species.
Return to the camp before sunset for dinner and overnight stay
