We begin our adventure picking you up from your hotel at 7am and then we go towards to the Inca site of Tambomachay, just outside of Cusco, our path leads us through high passes through valleys, small communities and past beautiful mountain lakes.
With large areas of grasslands and large open lakes, this area is home to a wide variety of birds including Andean Geese, partridges and lapwings as well as a variety of birds of prey, a lot of andean Grass "straw" where our Incas they used it to build the roof of the houses.
We will be hiking along a path that leads to the Yanacocha lagoon, where we will have our delicious lunch prepared by our expert mountain Chef. Then We continue on to Pukamarca pass at 4200m, where we enjoy our stunning views of the the sacred valley of the Incas and immense glacial mountains.
Along the way we will have an opportunity to meet with real local family where their life is agriculture and grazing llamas and alpacas.
