Okavango Delta
Your adventure begins shortly after as we head for the southern tip of the Okavango Delta. Upon reaching the mokoro station, you will meet your poler/guide who will brief you about activities and safety during your stay, before boarding a mokoro.
You will glide silently through the ever-changing web of crystal waterways until you reach one of its many islands, where you will set up camp. You will be camping here for 2 nights.
In the late afternoon, enjoy a guided bush walk that will introduce you to the sounds, sights and smells of the African bush. Be on the lookout for elephants, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, giraffes, warthogs and antelopes such as kudu, waterbuck, reedbuck, impala, red lechwe and sitatunga. The Okavango Delta is one of the top birding destinations in Africa. Bird species include African fish eagle, bateleur, Southern carmine bee-eater, yellow-billed hornbill, lilac-breasted roller, and lesser jacana, to name a few.
