0800 Hours: Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi after breakfast and drive north with enroute lunch to Chogoria
Chogoria Route is by far the most spectacular and beautiful route on Mount Kenya. Out of the three popular routes for climbing Mount Kenya, the Chogoria Route is without question the most scenic and rewarding for hikers interested in sightseeing as well as summiting in addition, we also get the opportunity to soak up the sights and sounds of the forest and to get ‘in-tune’ with your surroundings. We will probably walk around before we arrive at the Mount Kenya Bandas camp where we spend the night.
This is a good spot to see wildlife in the evening including monkeys, buffalo, and even elephants.
