The Machu Picchu 2-day tour begins with pick up from your hotel in Cusco at 10am. After a 1-hour 30 minute drive through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, you will arrive at the train station in Ollantaytambo ready to board your train at 12.30pm. The 1-hour 45 minute train journey to Aguas Calientes will treat you to breathtaking scenes of snow capped mountains, Inka farming terraces and of course remarkable Inka ruins. After which you will be greeted by your tour guide, and escorted to your hotel in the town. With a full afternoon free to explore Machu Picchu town without your guide, you can choose to either relax alongside the Vilconota river accompanied by the sound of the rapids, visit the local hot springs or hike the short trail to the nearby waterfalls of Mandor (90 minute round trip). Your guide will meet you in your hotel in the evening to breif you on the schedule for your tour of Machu Picchu the following day. Overnight in hotel in Aguas Calientes town.
