Itinerary
1
Temple of Karnak
Your adventure begins at the magnificent Karnak Temple, a sacred complex that took more than 2,000 years to complete. Walk along the grand Avenue of Sphinxes, marvel at the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 towering columns, and admire the ancient hieroglyphs that still tell the stories of pharaohs. This is the heart of ancient Thebes, where kings and priests once worshipped the gods.
1 hour and 30 minutes
2
Luxor Temple
As the sun sets, you’ll step into the magical Luxor Temple, a masterpiece built by Amenhotep III and expanded by Ramses II. Unlike Karnak, this temple was dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship, and many pharaohs, including Alexander the Great, left their mark here. At night, the temple glows under warm lights, creating an atmosphere you’ll never forget.
1 hour
3
Valley of the Kings
On the second day, cross to Luxor’s West Bank to discover the legendary Valley of the Kings. This is where Egypt’s most powerful rulers were buried, including Tutankhamun, Ramses II, and Seti I. Your ticket includes entry to three beautifully decorated tombs, where walls are still alive with vibrant paintings of gods, stars, and the afterlife journey. Walking here feels like stepping directly into history.
1 hour and 30 minutes
4
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari
Next, admire the breathtaking Temple of Hatshepsut, a queen who ruled Egypt as a king. Her temple, nestled beneath towering cliffs at Deir el-Bahari, is one of the most striking monuments in Egypt. With its terraces and elegant architecture, it tells the inspiring story of one of history’s greatest female leaders.
45 minutes
5
Colossi of Memnon
Before leaving the West Bank, stop by the colossal statues of Amenhotep III, known as the Colossi of Memnon. Standing 18 meters tall, these giant stone figures have watched over Luxor for 3,400 years. They were once part of a massive temple, long lost to history, but still awe-inspiring in their silent watch.
