Your epic 2-day adventure begins in Plužine with a mandatory gear check. To ensure a safe and successful journey, all hikers require suitable footwear and weatherproof clothing for mountainous terrain. Furthermore, each participant must carry a personal backpack containing their camping kit, sufficient water, spare clothing, and tent.
Once prepared, we depart for the trailhead, driving past the magnificent Piva Lake and Dam. This striking artificial lake, often called Piva Canyon, was formed by the towering Mratinje Dam within Montenegro's rugged landscape.
Piva Lake's incredible turquoise-blue waters vividly contrast the dramatic, steep canyon cliffs, a true spectacle on sunny days. The immense Mratinje Dam, one of Europe's highest concrete arch dams, is an engineering marvel.
This scenic drive offers abundant photo opportunities and a breathtaking introduction to Montenegro's wild beauty before your demanding mountain hike begins.

As you approach the lake, the scenery transforms into a serene mountain oasis.
