Pick-up will commence between 06:00 and 06:30am from your accommodation in Cape Town and surrounds. We will depart Cape Town for Hermanus to take the whale-watching boat trip from New Harbour for 2-hours. We will travel for approximately 1.5 hours.

Upon our arrival at New Harbour, we will check in at the base and set sail on the 9:00 am boat trip to the location where the whales can be seen up close. We will be on the water for approximately 2-hours enjoying close encounters with the Southern Right Whales from the boat. Take plenty of photos under the guidance of your experienced crew members. Kindly note that this activity is weather-permitting and dependent on nature. In this case, we will walk along the boardwalk to spot some whales from the shoreline. However, sightings are not guaranteed. This experience is only available from mid-June to the end of November annually.

After our exciting encounter with the whales, we will stop for lunch at Burgundy Restaurant overlooking the ocean. (Food only, is included up to R300,00 per person)

Arriving at Buffelsdrift Game Lodge you will check in at your lodge room before returning to the main area to meet your game ranger for your afternoon safari game drive. Enjoy a 2-hour game drive including a stop for sundowners along the way and be on the lookout for lion, cheetah, elephant, rhino, giraffe, antelope, hippos, etc. After your game drives, enjoy dinner before retiring to your lodge room overnight at Garden Route Game Lodge.
