NAIROBI TO SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
This is your first day on Vagan safari. Our guide/driver will pick you up early in the morning from your based hotel or airport. Proceed to Samburu National Reserve drive north of Nairobi passing through the Equator and the majestic Mount Kenya en-route to the open savannah of Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at Samburu Sopa Lodge.Take lunch relax Later at 4PM, depart for an afternoon game drive for 2 hours. Come back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Samburu National Reserve
Samburu Reserve is home to reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Beisa's oryx, long-necked gerenuk and the blue-legged Somali ostrich. Much of the reserve is desert landscape; dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, with dramatic views of the table mountain Ol Olokwe on the horizon.
Samburu is a true paradise for nature lovers and travelers seeking peace and quiet.
There are three protected areas around the Ewaso Ngiro River that are part of the same ecosystem. To the west of the Ewaso Ngiro are the Samburu and Buffalo Springs reserves, and to the east is Shaba.
