A nature walk with a ranger to visit the white rhinos in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Rhinos live in small groups in this sanctuary making it safe for visitors to see them. Following the ranger's instruction about safety while there will make this experience a memorable one. There is no hiking in this exercise. It is just a simple walk coupled with explanations from rangers. It is the only place in Uganda where one can see these animals in the wild on foot.

Morning – Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Early morning pickup from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Travel north through Uganda’s countryside to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Upon arrival, meet experienced rangers for a safety briefing before beginning the rhino tracking experience.
Rhino Tracking Experience
Walk through the sanctuary with a ranger to locate a group of southern white rhinos. Once found, you will spend time observing them from a safe distance while learning about conservation efforts to reintroduce rhinos to Uganda’s national parks.
The rhino tracking experience usually lasts 1–2 hours.
