بنوم سامبو

Battambang Provincial Museum
The Battambang Provincial Museum, also known as the Former Residence of Lord Abhaiwongse, is one of the most historically significant colonial-era buildings in Battambang, Cambodia. Located in the heart of the city, this beautiful heritage building reflects the region's unique history and the transition from Siamese to French administration.
The building was constructed in 1905 during the period when Battambang was under Siamese (Thai) rule. It was commissioned by Lord Kathathon Chhum (Abhaiwongse), the governor of Battambang, who intended it to serve as his private residence. The mansion was designed by an Italian architect from Bangkok, combining elegant European architectural styles with features suited to Cambodia's tropical climate.
