This short gorilla tour departs Kigali at 4:00 am for a 2-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze. After a briefing on trekking rules and gorilla behavior, you’ll head into the forest with experienced guides, porters, and rangers who ensure a safe and memorable adventure. The trek moves at a comfortable pace, with high chances of encountering gorillas in their natural habitat. Visitors must keep a 20-foot distance, though the curious gorillas may come closer. Only eight tourists track each family, and hiring a porter is recommended. You’ll spend one unforgettable hour observing these magnificent creatures before returning for lunch and driving back to Kigali.
