The first stop on this cultural tour is Galinyala Springs, a place of deep significance as a traditional water site and an essential source for the Barngarla people. This location also marks the first landing site of settlers in the region. Next, travel to Winters Hill Lookout—known as Gannana Boori to the Barngarla people—the highest peak in Port Lincoln / Galinyala. The journey continues to Poonindie Aboriginal Mission ruins, a historic site that offers a glimpse into a poignant chapter of Aboriginal history. From here, pass through Mallee Park, home to the nation's most successful Indigenous football club and a once previous Aboriginal Reserve connected to local stolen generation events.
The following stops include Billy Lights Point to learn about traditional cultural fishing practises techniques before visiting Snapper Rocks, where Emmalene will openly delve into the darker chapters of the region's early history, sharing stories of Indigenous resilience. This candid look into Australia's past is an important step in understanding and supporting the healing process for Aboriginal people.

Parnkalla Walking Trail
Enjoy a short stroll along the Parnkalla Trail and embrace the knowledge shared of local traditional plants and their uses. The trail leads to Shelly Beach, where you'll have the unique opportunity to participate in a traditional water cleansing ceremony—a reflective experience that fosters a deeper connection to the land and brings a profound sense of renewal and rejuvenation.
This wonderful cultural journey concludes with a gourmet bushfoods lunch by the beach, thoughtfully prepared by Emmalene's family. Savour an array of hot and cold dishes featuring native ingredients, followed by a delightful dessert and a selection of homeland-inspired beverages—including soft drinks, wines, gin, and unique drinks infused with bush flavours.
