Welcome to Canada’s first City, Saint John, New Brunswick, the only city on the Bay of Fundy, home of the world’s highest tides. Meet at Area 506 Waterfront Container Village entrance, and proceed along historic Water Street to Market Square to access the City’s indoor pedway system. This avoids an uphill walk on King St, the steepest main street in Canada. The tour is flat, with a downhill section near the end. Copies of rare photos are used during the tour. Historical facts are featured, from 1783 until the present day. Your knowledgeable guide will focus on numerous points of interest and hidden gems including the history of Saint John over the last 243 years. The final part of the tour is on Prince William St, once known as the Wall St of Canada.

This tour is 6+ hours long tour with 5 different sized passenger buses. This is available only for tourists visiting via Cruise ships or privately booked events with a minimum of 10 people. The smallest bus holds 20 passengers, the medium bus holds 24 passengers, and the largest bus holds 33 passengers. There is some easy walking involved on this tour, so please wear comfortable shoes. Please note that there will be some minor waiting required since passengers need to leave the cruise ship and then get into the bus. We cannot leave until all the passengers in the group have been seated in the bus. **ATTENTION**:Pickup time for all passengers is within 1 hour after the ship arrives to the port. ***Please note: Our season begins March 1st and ends around November 15th. This tour is ONLY for cruise ship passengers.

Dining: We don't schedule a formal lunch stop, so please enjoy a hearty breakfast on the ship before you head out. Don’t worry, though-we have complimentary bottled water, coffee, tea, and snacks waiting for you on board!

Your tour includes a visit to the seaside community of St. Martins. Step back in time and sense the serenity of this area with its wharf, fishing boats, and piled lobster traps. With the ocean as a backdrop, you'll capture memorable photos of many interesting features including lighthouses and twin covered bridges. If the tide is low enough, visit the wave-carved sea caves. Learn about this small community's wooden ship building industry and see some of the highest tides in the world ebb and flow during your visit. You'll also visit the famous Reversing Falls Rapids where the huge tides from the Bay of Fundy force the mighty Saint John River. Before returning to the cruise ship, we'll stop and explore the unique Old City Market in the heart of Saint John and learn why the local folks have loved to buy fresh produce here since 1876. Please note: DEPARTURE TIME is determined based on cruise ship arrival times on the day. You will receive a message with the local departure time.
