The Valley of the Temples is today the largest Archaeological Park in the world (about 1300 hectares) and has been included in the UNESCO list of Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Located on a plateau not far from the sea, a stone's throw from the historic center of Agrigento, the Valley of the Temples is famous throughout the world for its imposing Doric temples which constitute one of the most significant examples of Greek culture and art.
