Usaquén was once an independent municipality from Bogotá. As the city grew, it absorbed Usaquén, including its park. This park is located across from what was the old town hall of Usaquén. It's a green space surrounded by eucalyptus and urapan trees, and nearby you'll find a wide variety of restaurants. If you go on a Sunday, the flea market awaits you with handicrafts and local traditions.

We visited a building that exemplifies the traditional way of life and economy of this area, a former hacienda now a shopping center. This site is an architectural heritage site that integrates the past with the present, reflecting a constant theme in Colombian history: adaptation.

The "Big Apple" of Usaquén connects an area marked by the past with the future; through its corridors move businessmen, ambassadors and workers of large multinationals; here, tomorrow is now.
