Start your tour exploring Monte Albán, one of the most important archaeological areas of Mesoamerica, where you will know the temples, squares and tombs that tell the story of the ancient Zapotec civilization. Accompanied by an expert guide, you will understand the grandeur of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We will visit a 100% self-sustaining artisanal mezcal pallet where you will know the artisanal process of making mezcal: from the cooking of maguey in a conical oven to the distillation in copper still.

We will continue to the alebrijes workshop in San Antonio Arrazola, where local artisans will show you how they bring these colorful hand-carved and hand-painted wooden figures to life.

We will stop at a typical Oaxacan restaurant, where you will taste if you wish a buffet with traditional dishes prepared with local ingredients.

Finally, we will visit the village of San Bartolo Coyotepec, famous for its black mud, where you will see up close how artisans mold and polish these unique pieces with techniques transmitted from generation to generation.
