Meeting Instructions – Platteklip Gorge
Please meet your guide at the Platteklip Gorge Trailhead, located on Tafelberg Road, about 2 km past the Lower Cableway Station. Look out for the trail sign marked “Platteklip Gorge”. Your guide will be waiting at the starting point.

What You’ll Do You’ll join a guided hike up Platteklip Gorge, the most direct and iconic route to the summit of Table Mountain. Together we’ll follow the stone steps that wind steeply up the mountain, stopping along the way to enjoy breathtaking views over Cape Town, Lion’s Head, and the Atlantic Ocean.
Your guide will share local stories about the mountain’s history, geology, and unique flora and fauna. Once at the summit, you’ll have time to explore the flat-topped plateau, take in panoramic views, and capture unforgettable photos. If the cable car is operating, you’ll descend effortlessly; otherwise, we’ll hike down safely as a group.
