Join us on a tour to look for the largest land mammals in North America - the Wood Bison! NWT is home to North America's largest free roaming herd of wood bison - and from Yellowknife we can take a day tour to look for them.
How big are wood bison? The bison bulls can stand up to 6ft tall at their shoulders, 13ft long, and can weigh more than a tonne. Females are smaller and can weigh up to 1,200 pounds.
Will we see any baby bison? It is common to see newborn and growing calves among the herds.
Could we see other animals too? Hopefully. We have previously spotted black bear, eagles, fox, porcupines.

Экскурсия по шоссе бизонов
Насладитесь живописной поездкой по шоссе 3 в южном направлении. Мы будем искать бизонов в крупнейших в мире свободно бродящих стадах.
Будет предоставлен легкий пикник с закусками и напитками.
Экскурсия займет от 4 до 6 часов в зависимости от того, где мы увидим бизонов в первый раз. Мы будем ехать в одном направлении максимум 3 часа.
Надеюсь, мы также увидим черных медведей и дикобразов.
Группа из 4 человек будет путешествовать на внедорожнике; группа из 6+ человек будет путешествовать на автобусе класса люкс.
Минимальное количество участников на бронирование — 4 человека, однако мы сделаем все возможное, чтобы организовать группу!
