The tour starts in the port of Carti. Contact our office for exact driving directions and instructions. Plan to arrive no later than 8:30am. Only 4x4 vehicles are allowed entry into San Blas territory. All other cars and SUVs will not be allowed to enter the territory and you will lose your tour.

San Blas Islands
If you choose our optional transportation, your driver will pick you up from your Panama City lodging between 5:00–5:30 am for a 2.5–3 hour drive to the Port of Carti through scenic mountain roads.
For those driving on their own, please contact our team for detailed directions—only 4x4 SUVs are permitted to enter Guna Yala; all others will be turned away at the border.
Upon arrival, logistics may appear a bit disorganized, but rest assured—the Guna community has everything under control. After a 30-minute boat ride (which may include quick stops at other islands), you’ll reach Isla Narasgandup, your tropical home for the next few days.

San Blas Islands
Check into your private over-the-ocean cabin, enjoy a delicious lunch, and spend the afternoon swimming in turquoise waters or visiting the local Guna village on the island. Dinner will be freshly prepared with local ingredients.
