Upon arrival at the historic Erinji Temple, enjoy a cup of traditional matcha tea. In the serene atmosphere, this quiet moment helps shift your focus inward and gently prepares your mind for Zazen (Zen meditation).

Experience Zazen (Zen meditation) in a peaceful, historic setting. Rather than trying to empty your mind, simply sit and observe—listening to the sounds of nature, such as the wind and flowing water.
The session is divided into three shorter periods, making it accessible even for beginners, allowing you to gradually deepen your focus and sense of calm.

Erin-ji Temple
Enjoy a Shojin Ryori lunch as a mindful dining experience.
Before the meal, you will be introduced to the Gokan-no-ge (Five Reflections), a traditional Buddhist practice expressing gratitude for the food. You will also experience a few moments of silent eating.
Through this mindful approach—savoring each bite slowly—you can restore balance to both body and mind.
