Bundala National Park is situated 251km Southeast of Colombo,near to the Hambantota city in Southern Province of Sri Lanka.The Park is internationally recognize as a wintering ground for migratory aquatic birds in Sri Lanka.September to March is best time to visit because in this period migratory birds are reached to the park.Among 200 species of birds are recorded,out of them 58 species are migratory birds in the park, Marsh and Curlew Sandpiper, Curlew and Greenshank Golden and Kentish Plover, Large and Lesser Sandplovers.Greater Flamingo is the famous migratory bird.
