土屋邸
Originally a clinic and traditional family home, this property has been renovated and now operates as an inn featuring restored kura storehouses. Although it normally functions as accommodation, this tour offers a special opportunity to explore the entire 45-meter-long residence through a private room tour guided by Mr. Tsuji, the owner of Tsuchiya Residence and an active contributor to Kurashiki’s community development.
Experience the thoughtful details woven into the design—such as the height and warmth of the lighting, the craftsmanship of the windows and ceiling, the carefully framed views from each chair, and the tatami edges creatively made with denim. Through these elements, you will feel Mr. Tsuji’s deep dedication to blending his home into the streetscape and his love for the local community.
