Cimetière des trains
These are the remains of locomotives from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, making this site a must-see attraction when visiting Uyuni and a perfect place for artistic photography. The trains, originally manufactured in Germany and England, were once used to transport minerals from the famous Cerro Rico of Potosí, playing an important role in Bolivia’s mining history.

It is a small town located 23 km north of Uyuni, where families are dedicated to the traditional extraction and processing of salt using rustic methods and ancestral tools. Here, we will visit a salt museum to learn about the production process and admire unique salt-based handicrafts created by local artisans.

Salar d'Uyuni
The Uyuni Salt Flats are the largest in the world, covering more than 10,000 square kilometers of brilliant white landscapes. This vast natural wonder creates surreal views, especially during the rainy season when a thin layer of water turns the surface into a giant mirror reflecting the sky. It is one of the most spectacular and unique places to visit on Earth.

They are small openings on the surface of the salt flats formed by the mixing of fresh and salty groundwater. This natural process creates a bubbling effect that looks like boiling water, making them a unique and fascinating geological feature.

We will head into the dazzling white expanse of the salt flats, just 15 minutes from Colchani, and stop to visit the Dakar Monument, where you can enjoy and photograph some of the most iconic spots of this unique landscape.

Île d'Incahuasi
This rocky island, formed by ancient volcanic activity, rises dramatically from the middle of the salt flats and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the endless white landscape. It is home to towering giant cacti that are hundreds of years old, as well as an isolated colony of vizcachas and colorful hummingbirds, making it a unique oasis of life in the heart of the desert.
