Colline de Melawati
Bukit Melawati is a historical hill located in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia. It was originally known as Bukit Selangor and served as a strategic point for defense and trade during the colonial era.
Today, Bukit Melawati is a popular tourist destination known for its historical landmarks and scenic views. Visitors can explore the hilltop fort and visit the Altingsburg Lighthouse, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. They can also see the remnants of the old palace of the Selangor Sultanate and the Royal Mausoleum.
Another popular attraction at Bukit Melawati is the silvered leaf monkeys, also known as the dusky leaf monkeys, that inhabit the hill. Visitors can feed these playful and friendly monkeys while enjoying the picturesque surroundings

Phare d'Altingsburg
Anciennement nommé phare d'Altingsburg, en hommage à un gouverneur néerlandais. Construit en 1907 et mis en service en 1910.
Magnifique phare au sommet de Bukit Melawati, Kuala Selangor. C'est un endroit idéal pour prendre des photos.
Cependant, l'accès au phare est interdit aux touristes.

Start Time: 8pm (15-20 minutes) Boat: Electrically powered fiberglass boat For maximum visibility, the best time to experience Kuala Selangor’s fireflies is slightly after 8pm on a clear, moonless night. Any later than that, and the fireflies may have found a mate, causing them to stop flashing.
