Take photos at the John Lennon statue in front of the Shelter in the Middle of the Roundabout which was a bus terminus where the boys would wait for each other daily going to school.

Take photos outside the house that we think was recently purchased by Yoko Ono for £500,000 it was her John Lennon lived with his mother Julia until he was aged 5 years old and went to live with his Aunt Mimi. We will tell you the whole story on this fascinating journey!

Mosspits Lane Primary School
John Lennon attended Mosspits Primary School during his early childhood. This brief stop introduces his earliest years in Liverpool and the beginnings of his education.

Childwall Abbey Hotel
In this area there are several photo stops and drives past key John Lennon locations for example his Aunt Harriets house where he made his last ever visit to Liverpool and it was shortly after that he crashed his car in Scotland.
You will also see Childwall Abbey Cinema and drive past Brian Epstein's house and the Childwall Fiveways pub where Brian had photos taken of John and all his Liverpool bands in a wonderful group shot.

Woolton Village
Enjoy a short guided walk around this village so well known to John as he sang in the choir at St Peters Church which was also the venue where he was famously introduced to a 15 year old Paul McCartney on 6th July 1967. You will see his Uncle Georges family dairy home to learn about johns formative years away from school and home with Mimi and you will Uncle George Toogood Smith's headstone.

Perhaps the highlight of this tour as you visit the superb exhibition which includes the original piano which John used to compose his song Imagine.
This is now an amazing visitor although in John's days it was a children's home and John would climb over the wall and climb up trees and play games with the children. These early experiences were later reflected in the lyrics of the Beatles song Strawberry Field's Forever. You can buy souvenirs and refreshments here or enjoy the gardens and take group photos and selfies on the mosaic tiled Imagine floor.

Mendips - Accueil John Lennon
John was raised here by his Aunt Mimi. Mendips represents stability and structure in his life and played a key role in shaping his personality and early musical development. The house was bought by Yoko Ono and donated to the care of the National Trust. Unlike the bus tours you can take photos and selfies outside the gate.

Blomfield Road
Blomfield Road in Liverpool was the residence of Julia Lennon and her partner John "Bobby" Dykins from 1950 to 1958. During his teenage years, John Lennon spent a great deal of time there, and the house became an important rehearsal space for him and Paul McCartney. It was also regularly visited by The Quarrymen, the band that would eventually evolve into The Beatles.

Rue Mathew
There are two statues of John here, the first above the souvenir shop on the corner and on Liverpool's Beatles inspired hotel the Hard Days Night. The second is on Mathew Street itself alongside the Cavern Wall of fame which lists all the artists who have played the Cavern Club since it opened in 1957. The tour will end here and it's a great place to explore on your own.
