On this experience, you will visit two different snack bars, each with its own atmosphere and local regulars. Japanese snack bars are not food-focused bars. Instead, they are casual local spots centered on drinks, conversation, and karaoke, usually hosted by the owner, often called “Mama,” who creates a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
With a local English-speaking guide, you’ll visit bars you would never enter on your own, learn how snack bars work, and enjoy Kyoto’s nightlife the way locals do.
