The forest ranger will meet you right near the old city centre of Brasov in the afternoon and will take you in an air-conditioned minivan or car into the hills of Transylvania, near Brasov. In Romania, more than 5.000 brown bears are living, and we will go to see them in the natural environment. On the way to the forest, you will learn more details about these fascinating animals, what are their habits and how they can become so big. After the arrival, you will go together with the ranger to the observatory where quietly we will wait to start to see the bears. Together with professional rangers, we will have an amazing experience in one of the richest areas of large carnivores in Europe. The tour takes place in a beautiful area, where the vegetation and fauna are untouched. This beautiful area represented the favourite area of the hunt for some important people of Romania, including Ceausescu too.
After we will arrive at the Bears Observatory, we will have 2-3 hours to see the bears in their wild and natural environment.
We will observe from a camouflaged observatory the natural area to increase our chances of spotting brown bears. In all this time we will learn more about the habits and habitats of wildlife from a forest ranger.
