Geyser del Tatio
The journey begins with a 45-minute to 1-hour drive to the entrance of the trail. Upon arrival, pay close attention and be careful when approaching the geysers. Enjoy observing this incredible natural phenomenon while being respectful and cautious. The guides are strict in this area for your safety, but you’ll still have great opportunities to take beautiful photos and videos.
After exploring the geothermal field, enjoy a delicious breakfast surrounded by the stunning Andean landscape. On the way back to San Pedro, you’ll make several scenic stops to observe the local wildlife and take in the breathtaking views.
Your guide will let you know the best spots and times to capture photos and videos of this unique high-altitude ecosystem.
If you’re lucky, you may spot vicuñas, guanacos, Andean flamingos, local ducks, and vizcachas along the way.
